Last Sunday marked the end of the 2nd annual Interplay South Winter Workshop. It was an inspiring weekend with a supportive group of talented people.

We were so lucky to hold our student concert at @cafecentrowpb, a staple of the West Palm Beach jazz scene.

2024 was a big year for Interplay Jazz & Arts.
We started the year with Interplay South’s Welcome to West Palm Beach party, followed by a winter workshop and monthly jam sessions. The summer brought our annual summer camp in New Hampshire and the beginnings of the Interplay Youth Orchestra. We can’t wait to keep making new memories and music in 2025!

Jam sessions are an integral piece of the jazz learning and performing experience. Musicians come together to play and improvise over a common set tunes called, “jazz standards.” These sessions provide an open platform to explore interpretation, co-creation, and interconnection with other musicians.

This week, our students at Interplay Southeast will work through some well-known standards:
- On the Sunny Side of the Street
- There Will Never Be Another You
- Softly, as in a Morning Sunrise
- Summertime
- All of Me
- Body and Soul
