July 15, 2021 – July 15, 2021
150 Upper Turnpike Rd
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm Thursday (date change due to weather forecast)
A jam session is an opportunity for musicians to get together and try out new tunes or arrangements, new improv or comping techniques and to hear and be inspired by what others are working on. Interplay’s jam sessions are social gatherings that welcome new players and singers into the Interplay family where we can all make music together, learn, and have fun.
Attendance at these Third Thursday Jazz Jam Sessions is free and open to everyone. Audience members are encouraged to attend and enjoy! Everyone is encouraged to bring a finger food or beverage to share. Please register on the website so we can know how many will be coming to play or listen.
Hosted by Tom & Robin Davis, 150 Upper Turnpike Road, Norwich VT 05055. Our barn floor is a little rough – wear sensible shoes. Bring a sweater in case of a chilly evening.
Get to Norwich over the Ledyard bridge from Hanover or via exit 13 of interstate 91. As you pass Dan & Whit’s General Store zero your trip odometer. At 0.5 miles, turn left onto Turnpike Road. At 1.5 miles, the intersection with New Boston Road, bear left to stay on Turnpike Road. At 3.1 miles turn right onto Upper Turnpike dirt road. (Caution: recent deluge has damaged the shoulders, drive slowly and in the center.) At 3.6 miles our old brick farmhouse is on the right. Please park in driveway or on the road past the mailbox where road is a little wider. (Do NOT take ‘Douglas Road’ if GPS suggests it – GPS is occasionally deluded into believing that a walking path through the woods is really a road.)
Protect yourself and others. See current recommendations for public gatherings from the Vermont Department of Health here: https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19/protect-yourself-others
